When Marnie was There (as a child I used to read it, finish it, and then just start at the beginning again; still have two copies I can’t let go)

    To Kill a Mockingbird

    The Narnia series

    The Scarlett Pimpernel

    The Prince and the Page

    Tess of the D’urbervilles

    Uncle Tom’s Cabin

    Tortured for Christ

    The Diary of Ann Frank

    Beau Gueste

Pollyanna (I know, I know! It’s a kid’s book, cheesy, and all that. But it stayed with me.)

    The Scarlett Letter

    The Bowmen of Crecy

    Two Years Before the Mast

Howard Pyle’s version of Robin Hood, & his Men of Iron

That’s not to say that I would recommend all of those books, but I either loved them to bits, or they made in impact of another sort, or both. 🙂
