He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?  ~Micah 6:8

Threads of Grace

Welcome to Simply Susan, where I write honestly about faith, marriage, motherhood and the everyday threads of God's grace.

So grab a coffee.
Pull up a chair.
I’m so glad you’re here.

What about my rights?

“To be broken means to have no rights before God and man. It does not mean merely surrendering my rights to Him but rather recognizing that I haven’t any, except to deserve hell. It means just being nothing and having nothing that I call my own, neither time, money, possessions nor position.”

~ Roy Hession, The Calvary Road

I have not heard of this Roy fellow, but I sure do like his thinking! Amen to that, and again, amen! Death to self and all it’s selfish ways/desires/wants/needs.

We are not our own anymore. We belong to Him, Who paid the price that we could never pay. His life for ours. Totally, not just the bits we want to give him.

    Love ya Susan
