It reminds me, that advertisers trying to manipulate people (especially parents, with promises of ‘smarter baby’ ‘head start’ ‘get ahead’ etc etc) is not such a new thing.

Honestly Rebecca, when John sent them to me I was speechless. How on earth could they be for real? But I spoke with my dad and he confirmed that they probably were legitimate. Not that he recalls those exact ads but it is the way things were. Oi Voi!
Yes, what lengths marketers will go to in their advertising campaigns… just goes to show that not only do they lie when it seems convenient but that ‘modern research’ doesn’t have all the answers. Yet if we can see that is true back then, what makes us so darn sure that we have all the correct answers now?
